New P&G Coupon Booklet by Mail-In Rebate

There's a new P&G rebate (for a coupon booklet) available again.  I don't think I mentioned anything about it last time around, but it was the very beginning of my blogging adventure.  Here's how it works: you purchase $50 worth (before tax or coupons - yay) of P&G brand products (see the list of brands here) between September 1 and December 31. Then you just circle the P&G products on the original receipts (does not need to be all on one) and mail them in with the form found here.  The last coupon booklet was a $100 coupon booklet with triplets of almost every coupon and they are awesome - some are similar to the monthly P&G insert but some are higher in value and more rare.  And of course the expirations are farther out than your typical insert.  This is definitely worth it and easy to obtain given that it's $50 BEFORE coupons.  You will most likely get this pretty quickly without trying if you're a couponer at CVS and Walgreens.  From 9/1 on I'll be sure and point out if a product will qualify.

Awesome Deal on Glade Sense and Spray at CVS Starting 8/22

Starting Sunday, 8/22, CVS has an ECB deal running on certain products, including Glade.  The deal is, buy $10 worth and get $3 in ECB's.  The Glade Sense and Spray will be on sale for $5, and there is a $3/1 coupon here (it's in the household category).  Print the coupons now!!!  They will most likely be gone by Sunday because of the high value.  If you're wondering what the heck this is, you can check it out here.  I've been using the Lysol version for about 2 years now.  So you can do the following deal:

Free Cesar Dog Treats at Target!

You can score some free Cesar dog treats at Target this week (I will definitely be doing this for my local animal shelter).  They are priced at $2.99.  All you need is the $1/1 Target coupon from the 5/23 Red Plum insert (for Cesar dog treats) and the $2/1 manufacturer's coupon from the 8/8 Red Plum insert and they will be totally free! This will be an easy addition to my growing Target list for this week.

My CVS Trip 8/15 - Saved 96% and got $77.21 worth!!

So while my Walgreens trip went exactly as planned, my CVS trip was the exact opposite.  By the end of my shopping excursion I had gone to 3 stores (mainly for SoBe's) and still not found the Blink eye drops.  Now that I'm wearing contacts I use eye drops a lot more when they aren't in because of dry eyes and it's the only thing I really wanted.  Oh well.  I got a rain check.  So I'm not going to list all of the 16 SoBe's below since they were all free and contributed nothing to the transactions.  I love the Fuji Apple Pear variety the most so I got as many as I found

My Walgreens Trip 8/15 - Saved 94% and got $84.90 worth!!

My Walgreen's trip went exactly as planned today.  I did spread it out into 2 stores to make sure I didn't cause one store to go low on stock.  Because I did the exact transactions I outlined here, I am not going to repeat what I did, only my totals.

Total retail value (no coupons): $84.90

Used (5) $3 RR's from last week.

Total after coupons and RR's: $0.00

Received (5) $2 RR's from the Head and Shoulders.

So I spent $15 in RR's ($0 cash) and received $10, so it's like paying $5 for all of the above items.  That's a savings of 94%.  And even though I reduced my RR's, it wasn't by much and I still have Sunday of next week to roll the rest!
