My Target Trip 8/5/2010 - Saved 82%

I made my first big couponing trip to Target in a while yesterday and it was successful, but only because the manager took over!  Almost half of my coupons weren't recognized by the system even though they were clearly valid.  The manager was a doll though.  Here's what I did:

(5) $2.39 - Kellogg's Nutrigrain bars

- (2) $1/2 Target coupons from 8/1 RP
- $2.39 (the sale this week is buy 4 get 1 free)
= $0.91 each (these will go to work for breakfast)

(3) $0.92 - Chef Boyardee Ravioli
- (3) $1/1 Target coupons (no longer available)
= free (no more overage at Target, these rang up as $0.92 coupons)

(5) $0.97 - Clean & Clear Morning Burst face wash
- (5) $1/1 from 8/1 SS or printable
= FREE (again, no overage)

(4) $2.99 - Nivea for Women Body Wash
(2) $2.99 - Nivea for Men Body Wash
- (2) $4/2 printable for Nivea body products
- (2) $2.99 - buy 2 nivea women's body wash and get 1 men's body wash free from 7/25 RP
= $0.66 each

(2) $0.97 - Right Guard deodorant, travel size
- $2/2 printable
= FREE

(4) $0.97 - Axe Deodorant, travel size
- (4) $0.75/1 printable (no longer available)
= $0.22 each

(4) $0.97 - Degree for Women deodorant, travel size
- (4) $1/1 printable (no longer available)
= FREE

(2) $1.66 - Hartz Crunch 'n Clean Cat Treats
- (2) $1.50/1 from 6/6 SS
= $0.16 each

(9) $0.97 - Johnson & Johnson first aid kits (travel section)
- (3) $3/3 from 8/1 SS
= FREE plus $0.09 overage (see note below)

(3) $1.69 - Dora Bandaids
$4.69 - First Aid Bag
- $3/3 from 8/1 SS
- (3) $0.50/1 Dora bandaid Target printable
- $4.69 (free first aid bag promotion in store)
= $0.19 each for the bandaids and a free bag

(5) $0.99 - Bic pens
- (2) $1/2 Target printables
- $1/1 Target printable (no longer available)
- (2) $1/2 from 8/1 SS
= FREE

(4) $0.50 - Papermate pens
- (4) $0.50/1 Target printable
= FREE

$5.91 - Hanes underwear (on clearance down from $8.49 because someone had opened it)
- $1/1 Hanes Target printable
= $4.91 (I needed this, and it pained me to spend that much but it was the best deal!)

Total after coupons (no tax on this transaction): $15.03

That's a savings of 82%!!!

When my original cashier was moved to a different line and the sweet manager took over she pushed through one of the $3/3 as the full value instead of marking it down so that's how I got the $0.09 overage.  I don't think she would have normally done this but we were just trying to get through the transaction.  I will donate most of this stuff and if you take out the $5 for undies, $10 ain't bad!
