Pilot G2 Pens Only $0.99 at Walgreens

Right now you can get Pilot G2 pens for only $0.99 at Walgreens. In this month's Walgreens coupon book there is a coupon (the coupon book that is in front of the ads in store) for $1/1, and there is a $1/1 printable here. I've also read that some people are finding these on sale or clearance, making them free or just pennies. This is one of those posts where I'm not telling you about anything super amazing, but rather, these are my most favorite pens ever and they do tend to be a bit expensive. (Mom, stop rolling your eyes).

Free Sample of Playtex Sport Tampons

Free Feline Pine Coupons and Magnets

Go here and fill out your mailing info to get free coupons and magnets for Feline Pine (cat litter). I tried this litter when my cat was a wee tot and was not a fan of the smell (since I'm allergic to pine), but this will most likely make for super cheap items that I can donate to an animal shelter so I'm signing up anyway.

250 Address Labels for only $0.99 Shipped!!

Right now (and who knows for how long) Office Depot is offering 250 address labels for only $0.99 shipped! I tried the deal to confirm before I posted it and sure enough, my total was $1.07. The coupon code to use is 854758859. That will take off $9 and provide free shipping. This took me quite a while due to a slow website and a slightly confusing process at the end with the coupon code, but all in all it was not bad. There are a ZILLION choices for backgrounds also. Below is the one I chose. You can move around the fields to center them or make them bigger, so it is completely customizable. (The one I chose is called scripty snowflake and is under the seasonal category. I don't care - I love it!) Let me know if you have problems!

Walgreens Trip 6/27 - Saved 83%

So I did 7 transactions at 4 Walgreens today (my AC was out all morning so I had to find something to do). These weren't necessarily my exact plans, but the stock was really low everywhere so I had to travel to find everything. While I may get a kick out of writing all 7 out, I have a feeling you may not get a kick out of reading it. So feel free to scroll to the bottom for totals!

Transaction #1:

(3) $0.66 - Dentyne
- $0.99 from Walgreens coupon book (found in front of the weekly ads in store)
- $1/1 from 6/13 SS

Total before coupons: $12.97
Used $10 RR from Neutrogena.
Total after coupons, RR's and tax: $0.98
Received $8 in RR's. The socks were not printing RR's (apparently this is a national problem) and for some reason the manager just gave me cash by returning the socks but still giving them to me.

The Neutrogena was a nice find - I'd been holding onto those coupons for quite a while waiting for Neutrogena cosmetics to go on sale - they are so high!! The blotting tissues are a new product that I will DEFINITELY use, not to mention the cheapest Neutrogena cosmetic item.

All the dog food was just a luck clearance find - it's going in my animal shelter donation bin. I'm pretty sure there are coupons for the Purina One Smart Blends dog food, but I didn't have them with me and they were so cheap anyway.

Totals for the day:

Total before coupons: $110.36

Total RR's spent: $61
Total cash spent: $8.19
Total OOP: $69.19

Received $40 in RR's and $6 in cash (for the socks) and will receive $3.99 in rebates.

Total for today: $19.20 - a savings of 83%!

This may sound crazy, but that's a pretty low number for me. This is due to the fact that there are NO money makers this week and I bought several non-RR items. I did fantastic though with sheer volume.

Also, do you really care about the total oop I write up? I was thinking about it and the only thing that affects ME week to week is the cash spent today, which is $2.19, making me feel even better! And my RR's got reduced a bit, which is kind of good considering how many I started with ($101 this week).

UPDATE: I just noticed that for both sets of Oral-B toothbrushes I bought, an extra $3 RR printed out! This is an overlap from last week's RR and is surely a mistake that the execs haven't figured out yet. This means both pairs of toothbrushes were moneymakers! Yay!

CVS Trip 6/27 - Saved 95%!

(4) $1.50 - Xtra Laundry Detergent
- (4) $1/1 from 6/6 SS
= $0.50 each - donations

(4) $2.50 - 3 Scrubbing Bubbles Toilet Cleaning Gels and 1 Scrubbing Bubbles Shower Spray
- (2) $1/1 toilet cleaning gels from 6/13 SS
- $2/2 Scrubbing Bubbles Cleaning Products (not sure where I got this)
= $1.50 each, but received $5 ECB's, making them $0.25 each

$5.99 - Bengay Massage Cream
- $3/1 printable
= $2.99, but received $2 in ECB's, making it $0.99

(7) $0.88 - Betty Crocker Warm Delights
- $0.75/1 printable or 6/27 SS (these weren't in mine)
- (6) $0.50/1 printable (no longer available)
= $0.13 for one and $0.33 each for the rest

(6) $3.79 - Stayfree maxi pads
- $11.37 for in store B1G1 sale
- $11.37 from (3) B1G1 coupons from 6/27 RP insert
= all 6 FREE

Total before coupons: $50.89 (what the price would have been with no extra care card or coupons)

Used a $4/$20 coupon that printed from the magic coupon machine last week and an $8 ECB from last week.

Total after coupons, tax and ECB's: $1.67

Received a $5 ECB for the scrubbing bubbles products and a $2 ECB from Bengay.

So I spent $8 in ECB's and $1.67 in cash, making that $9.67 total oop, and I received $7 in ECB's, so total today was $2.67 - a savings of 95%.

A couple of notes - I couldn't do all the free M&M's because my inserts didn't have the M&M coupons today. I wanted to do the Aveeno deal since it is all free after rebates but when I got in the store I got confused about what products were included in the rebate and I had left my phone (smart phone) in the car so I skipped it for now. And lastly, yay for the warm delights!! I've been holding onto oodles of coupons for ages waiting for the best sale. These are delicious!

Walgreen's Update

Just wanted to mention that the RR's for those aloe socks at Walgreen's are not printing. Apparently this is a nationwide issue. I've heard from several other people that managers know how to manually print RR's when this happens, but this morning the manager just gave me cash. He claimed they didn't print because I used coupons and RR's to pay for my transaction which I know to be false, but at least I got my $6. So don't buy these yet if you want them! I'm sure it will be fixed within 24 hours or so. I'll keep you updated.

10:47 on Sunday Morning

I am sitting at a quaint table at Panera tired, hot and slightly sticky. My AC stopped working this morning. Yeah.....it's hot. I tried Starbucks first but couldn't figure out the internet. So I decided to stop by Walgreen's since none of the main RR deals this week really have coupons (no preparation needed). Now I am safely at my old standby Panera with a Dr. Pepper and a few stolen coupons from the free paper stack (who took the rest???), anxiously awaiting a call from my apartment complex's maintenance man.

Have you checked out My Coupon Hunter yet???

UPDATE: Use the coupon code "freeship" for free shipping on any order over $5!

Have you ever read about a great deal and wished you had more coupons so you could really stock up? I personally buy 4 papers a week (my local $1 paper) but quite often wished I had more like 10 or 20 to really stock up on freebies for donations, etc. I have been playing around with different coupon clipping sites lately and today this one REALLY caught my eye. The site is My Coupon Hunter. I have been emailing back and forth with the owner all day now and am completely sold on her site. Shipping is the lowest by far that I have seen and the minimums to check out are the lowest I've seen as well. As an example, I just added 4 of the most recent B1G1 Gillette body washes to my cart to check price and shipping and the total is only $1.45! That's only $0.25 per coupon and $0.45 shipping. That's right folks, she's charging exactly what it costs to ship, no profitable up charge!!!

Ok, now the really cool thing - monthly subscription plans. If you are a regular coupon buyer than these plans are definitely for you. There are 4 different plans ranging from 60 coupons for $10/month up to 500 coupons for $50/month. This way all of the coupon prices are standardized (the lowest quantity plan would be $0.17/coupon and the highest quantity plan is only $0.10/coupon). Also, the first four orders on a subscription plan come with free shipping. Isn't that a fantastic idea?

I know it sounds like I'm being paid to write up some big review, but I really just discovered her website today and have emailed back and forth with her. I love that she is a small home operation but still keeping costs ultra low. Give her a try today and let me know what you think!!

New $2/1 Rimmel Cosmetics coupon from All You!

Go here to print your $2/1 Rimmel cosmetics coupon! I used one of these a while back for almost free mascara at Target - but this could be nice for the clearance makeup at CVS as well. I was able to find the coupon with no zip code specified, but if you don't see it, try 90210.

$1 Coupon for Green Works Bathroom Cleaner

Go here for your $1/1 coupon for Green Works bathroom cleaner from Clorox.

$2 Coupon for Opti-Free Products (Contacts)

Go here to get a $2/1 coupon for Opti-Free Replenish contact solution. You have to register with the company, but as a contact wearer, I can assure you that $2 is great considering the high price of contact stuff these days. Then again, with all the free contact solution lately I may not need this for ages! However, I wouldn't be surprised if this brand comes up for RR's or ECB's soon given the trend lately.

Hello, my name is Elizabeth and I am a couponaholic

I finally found some big plastic bins at a price I liked so it was time to organize my stockpile (I've only been couponing for about 2 months so I've never done it). I hate to admit, but this stuff was mostly still in the bags in my bedroom. Now, to put it in the bins and create some donation bags during the process. The problem is, I have no husband or kids to use this stuff on! Seriously, it would make me feel SO much better if you guys could tell me this is semi normal for a couponer.

Um..........does anyone need any RR's???

So I was just helping Shanna create some scenarios for Sunday using the RR's she already had and I decided to pull mine out and see what I had. Um, I have a lot. Like a ton. Like I'm going to clean out some Walgreen's over the next couple of weeks. Are you trying to guess yet? Shanna guessed $30. NO where close. I have $81 in RR's. Yes, I said $81. How the heck did that happen? I'm not quite sure, but I know Neutrogena had something to do with that. Anyone else out there had this sort of predicament? I'm kind of an RR snob and would prefer not to spend them on things that don't give me more RR's, but I also think having around $80 in RR's week after week could get difficult. Am I seriously whining about having too many RR's? No.....ok maybe kinda sorta. Sunday shall be fun.

Elizabeth's Kroger Trip 6/17 - Saved 95%

Tonight I ruled Kroger. You may call me the Kroger Queen. And it was all by accident! I only went to pick up my free Smart Balance product that I won by playing the online game here, but decided to check out the personal care section while I was there just for fun. Here's what I snagged:

$2.99 - Smart Balance Milk
- $2.99 - Kroger eCoupon I got from winning their game (see above)
= FREE

(2) $2.69 - Clean & Clear Oil Absorbing Sheets (on closeout from $5.39)
- (2) $2/2 printable (this is the generic one, not the finishes one)
= $0.69 each!!!!!!

$2.99 - Gillette Odor Shield Deodorant (on sale down from $4.60)
- $2/1 from 5/16 RP insert
= $0.99

(2) $4.29 - Gillette Body Wash
- $4.29 from B1G1 in store sale
- $4.29 from B1 deodorant G1 body wash free from 5/16 RP insert
= both free (had to buy the deo to use the second coupon)

(2) $0.68 - Kroger brand diet grape soda (certain someone's fav drink that is very hard to find)

(10) $0.88 - SoBe Lifewater
- $2.00 from Kroger eCoupon found here (buy 10 get $2 off - I remembered I had this while there)
- $8.95 from 5 B1G1 printables (I don't think these are still available but you can win them with this instant game)

Total before coupons: $30.10

Total after coupons and tax: $1.60

That's a savings of 95%!!!!

So the big surprise in this transaction was the SoBe B1G1 coupons. Rather than taking off $0.88 for each B1G1 coupon, the computer automatically took off $1.79 (the original price). So after 5 B1G1 coupons and the eCoupon, I had $11.95 in coupons but the SoBe's only added up to $8.80, creating $3.15 in overage, paying for most of the rest of my transaction. I talked to the cashier about it making sure we were doing the right thing and she said the computer did it automatically, it didn't ask her for the price. So yay!! I've already loaded the coupon again and will do it later in the week if I can round up five more B1G1 coupons.
